How do I fix a broken roller blind cord?

I have one of those roller blinds which has a kind of pulley system, and the cord has snapped. Any advice on how to fix it?! Thanks!

If something is broken, and must be thrown away as it no longer serves a useful purpose, (with the exception of glass or pottery type items) Take it apart and find out how it works. It;s a great way to learn maintenance upkeep on things you might need to know at a later date such as when you become a homeowner. I find that if you are going to ditch it in the trash, try to fix it first by disassembling it and try to reassemble it. I have fixed many things this way such as window fans, and VCR. Its very rewarding to know you have the ability to possibly fix things in your home without having to pay for someone else to do it which can amount to hundreds of dollars in savings.
