How many support brackets are needed to hang a traverse rod?
I am hanging a two-way draw traverse rod that measures 138″. I’ve hung these types of rods before, but never one this wide. One webpage I found on the internet say traverse rods from 84-150 use two end brackets and 1 support. Is this right, or should I use two supports. I just don’t want to drill to many holes in my wall than necessary. Any help would be great. The type of rod I am hanging is a Kirsch superfine traverse rod in case that makes a difference.
The drapes I am hanging are lined and of medium weight. They’re from the JC Penney Supreme collection and are pinch pleated.
It depends on the weight of the drapes being installed on them. If they’re lined, and of a heavy fabric, I’d put in two more for a total of five. Will you also have a valance hanging on it? You don’t want it to sag when the drapes are closed or worse fall of the wall.
